Non-Contagious Sore Throats: Causes & When It's Not Contagious

Non-infectious sore throats are not caused by bacteria or viruses, making them noncontagious. These sore throats can result from allergies, smoke inhalation, dry air, or irritation from gastric reflux, among other causes. If the cause of the sore throat is non-infectious, it cannot be spread to others through contact or droplets.
