Early Pregnancy: Understanding Implantation Bleeding & Spotting
Spotting around the time you are expecting your period is common and does not necessarily mean that you are not pregnant. It is possible that the spotting you experienced was implantation bleeding, which occurs when the fertilised egg implants in the lining of the uterus. This can happen a few days before or after your expected period. Only time will tell for sure whether or not you are pregnant. If the spotting continues or becomes heavier, it is always best to consult a doctor to rule out any other potential causes.
You can consult with a healthcare professional to discuss your symptoms and pregnancy status. A doctor can perform tests and provide guidance on how to proceed.
