Aplastic Anemia: Causes, Symptoms & Understanding Bone Marrow Damage
The condition caused by damage to the bone marrow as a result of exposure to toxic chemicals or radiation is known as aplastic anemia. It occurs when the bone marrow, which is responsible for producing blood cells, is damaged or destroyed, leading to a decrease in the production of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. As a result, individuals with aplastic anemia may experience symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, increased susceptibility to infections, and bleeding disorders.Radiation Therapy - Related Articles
