Understanding X-ray Tube Filament Heating: A Technical Explanation
The filament in radiology machines is heated up by an electric current. This current flows through the filament, causing it to resist the flow of electricity and generate heat. The heat produced by the filament is then used to heat up the cathode, which in turn emits electrons that are used to create X-rays.Radiation Therapy - Related Articles
