Exocrine Pancreas: Function, Location & Importance
The exocrine pancreas is a gland that produces and releases enzymes that help digest food. It is located behind the stomach and is made up of two parts: the head and the body. The head of the pancreas is located in the upper right quadrant of the abdomen, while the body of the pancreas is located in the upper left quadrant.
