Securely Mount a Webcam on a CRT Monitor: A Simple Guide
Opposed to modern, flat panel monitors, CRTs are bulky, heavy and resemble old tube televisions. This makes it easier to balance small peripherals on top of the monitor such as webcams, speakers and other items.Things You'll Need
- Self-adhesive Velcro strips
- Scissors
Instructions
Cut down a set of self-adhesive Velcro strips to the size of your webcam's base.
Peel the backing from one of the Velcro strips. Turn the sticky side of the strip facing downward and press firmly along the top of the CRT monitor where you want the webcam to sit.
Peel the backing from the second strip of Velcro and adhere the sticky side to the underside of the webcam's base. Press it firmly to adhere.
Press the Velcro-covered underside of your webcam's base to the matching Velcro strip attached to your CRT monitor. This will keep it in place.
