Early Detection of Ovarian Cancer Saves Lives?
Early detection of ovarian cancer does not save lives. This is because, unlike breast cancer, there isn’t a reliable screening test for early detection. Symptoms, such as persistent bloating, changes in bowel movements or urination, or unexplained weight loss, may not appear until the disease is advanced. Because of this, most women are only diagnosed in the later stages, which makes treatment less effective. Research into the possible development of a screening test is underway, but thus far, there’s no proven effective screening method.Ovarian Cancer - Related Articles
