Ovarian pertains to the ovaries which are the female reproductive organs located on each side of the uterus in the lower abdomen. Ovaries are responsible for the production of eggs for fertilization and the release of hormones such as estrogen and progesterone, which regulate the menstrual cycle and play a role in pregnancy and the development of female characteristics.
