Endometrial Cancer: Understanding Stages, Symptoms & Treatment
Endometrial cancer is a type of cancer that starts in the endometrium, which is the lining of the uterus. It is the most common cancer of the female reproductive system.
Stages of endometrial cancer:
* Stage I: The cancer is confined to the endometrium.
* Stage II: The cancer has spread to the cervix, but not to the ovaries or other organs.
* Stage III: The cancer has spread to the ovaries or other organs in the pelvis.
* Stage IV: The cancer has spread to other organs outside of the pelvis, such as the lungs or liver.
The stage of endometrial cancer is determined by the size and location of the tumor, as well as the presence or absence of metastasis (the spread of cancer to other organs).
