Liver Location & Function: Anatomy and Key Roles
The liver is located in the upper-right portion of the abdomen, beneath the diaphragm, and on the right side of the stomach. It is the largest internal organ in the human body and performs multiple essential functions, including filtering toxins from the blood, producing bile for digestion, storing glycogen for energy, and synthesizing various proteins. Anatomically, the liver occupies most of the space beneath the rib cage on the right side and extends slightly to the left side of the body.Liver Cancer - Related Articles
