Liver and Heart Anatomy: Location and Relationship

The liver is located inferior to the diaphragm and is on the right side of the abdomen. The heart is located posteriorly and superior to the liver. The liver is in close proximity to the diaphragm and other abdominal organs such as the stomach, pancreas, and intestines.
