While liver cancer can have a genetic component, it is not typically inherited directly from family members. The majority of liver cancer cases are caused by environmental factors and lifestyle choices. However, certain inherited genetic mutations can increase the risk of developing liver cancer. These mutations are rare and found in only a small percentage of liver cancer cases.
