Bubonic Plague: Symptoms, History, and Impact
The bubonic plague is a bacterial infection caused by the Yersinia pestis bacterium. It is one of the deadliest pandemics in human history, responsible for the deaths of millions of people in the 14th century. Symptoms of the bubonic plague typically develop within two to ten days after exposure to the bacteria.
