Mosquito Bite Itch Relief: What Really Works (And What Doesn't)
Rubbing alcohol doesn’t help mosquito bites stop itching.
In fact, rubbing alcohol can irritate the skin and make itching worse. In reality, there are several treatments you can use to relieve itching from mosquito bites, including:
1. Wash the affected area with soap and water.
2. Apply a cold compress.
3. Use calamine lotion or anti-itch cream.
4. Take an oral antihistamine, such as Benadryl.
If you are experiencing severe itching or swelling from mosquito bites, consult with a doctor.
