Approximately 380,000 men die from malaria in Africa every year. Malaria is a life-threatening disease caused by parasites that are transmitted to humans through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. It is preventable and treatable, yet it remains a major public health problem in Africa, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa.
