How to Get Fleas Out of Hair
Cats and dogs aren't the only ones who get fleas. Fleas can take a bite out of humans, too. If you think that you have fleas, the easiest way to get rid of them is to bathe in substances that will kill the fleas and their larvae.Things You'll Need
- 1 cup dish soap 1 cup lemon extract Rough sponge or washcloth Fine-toothed comb
Instructions
Fill a bathtub with warm water--as warm as you can tolerate.
Add the dish soap and the lemon extract to the water. The fatty acids in the dish soap and the limonene in the lemon extract will kill the fleas and their larvae.
Bathe in the water for half an hour.
At the beginning of the bath, wash your hair well with regular shampoo. Leave on the shampoo until the end of the bath, and then rinse your hair under the water.
Use the sponge or washcloth to scrub your body and hair. Specifically target your hairline, the nape of your neck and the area directly above your ears.
As the water cools off, add more hot water from the tap.
When you get out of the bathtub, comb your hair slowly, checking the comb after each stroke. Remove any fleas that you find on the comb and dispose of them.
Repeat this process at least two times a week until no more fleas appear.
