Bed mites, also called dust mites, live in many places, but they are especially prone to living in damp, humid and dusty areas. They are frequently found in carpets and bed sheets, especially in rooms without air conditioning. Dust mites can cause allergic reactions. With a few helpful tips, you can more readily prepare yourself to take action against those pesky little bugs.Things You'll Need
- Change of sheets
- Duster
- HEPA vacuum cleaner
- Allergen-barrier pillow case
- Air filter
- Fan
Instructions
Clean your entire home at least once a week. Make sure to dust and vacuum weekly.
Change and wash your sheets weekly. Wash your entire bedding, including your pillow case. You can also purchase an allergen-barrier pillow case, which the mites cannot physically penetrate.
Purchase an air filter for your room. This will filter the air and rid it of excess dust.
Lower the air conditioning in your house. Keeping the humidity down inside will give the mites a much less enjoyable environment to live in.
