Scabies & Lice: Are Other Insects Capable of Infesting the Human Scalp?
While scabies and head lice are indeed insects that can infest humans, there are no other known insect species that are capable of breeding under the human scalp or living within the human system. Scabies mites burrow under the skin, causing intense itching and skin irritation, while head lice attach themselves to the hair shafts and feed on human blood. Other insects, such as fleas, bed bugs, and mosquitoes, may bite or feed on humans but do not reside or reproduce on or within the body.Ant Bites - Related Articles
