Risks of Eating Slugs While Drinking: Parasitic Infections & Health Hazards
Eating black slug while drinking alcohol is not recommended, as it carries a risk of parasitic infection. Slugs can carry parasites such as rat lungworm, which can cause a serious infection called angiostrongyliasis. This infection can cause symptoms such as headache, nausea, vomiting, and stiff neck, and in some cases can even lead to more severe complications such as meningitis or encephalitis.Additionally, consuming alcohol can impair judgment and coordination, which could increase the risk of accidents or injury while under the influence.
