Dermatophilyosis is a highly contagious fungal infection of the skin of sheep. It is caused by the fungus Dermatophilus congolensis, which can survive in the environment for long periods of time. Dermatophilyosis is also known as rain scald, strawberry foot rot, and lumpy wool.
