Can you control your bladder with catheter in?
When an indwelling catheter is inserted, it bypasses the natural muscular control mechanisms of the bladder. The urine empties passively and continuously into the collection bag and you will not be able to voluntarily control or hold your urine like before.
As your condition improves after a few days or weeks, and when catheter is not anymore necessary your continence should recover by itself once the catheter is removed.
