What is an oesopagus?
The esophagus, also known as the gullet or food pipe, is a muscular tube connecting the pharynx with the stomach. It functions as the means by which food and liquid are moved to the stomach for digestion and absorption. The esophagus is lined by specialized mucosa that helps to protect it from the highly acidic contents of the stomach.Osteopathy - Related Articles
