What is T Abnormality in High Lateral Leads shown ECG?
T Abnormality in High Lateral Leads
* Tall, tented T waves (Peaked T wave) in V1-V3:
- Early repolarization (normal finding in 1% population, especially children & young adults) or may represent ventricular hypertrophy or ventricular pre-excitation
* Hyperacute T waves:
- Extremely tall, symmetrical, pointed T waves in high lateral leads are called hyper-acute T waves.
- Represent reperfusion after coronary revascularization and also seen immediately after pre-cordial shock in defibrillation for ventricular fibrillation arrest.
