Herbal Home Body Wrap Recipe
Body wraps are used in many spas as a way of removing toxins from the body. It is also used by some as a weight loss method. Herbal body wraps can be applied at home with a simple recipe. Because body wraps remove water from the body, proper hydration is essential, so drink plenty of water before and after using an herbal body wrap.Things You'll Need
- Large pot
- 8 cups water
- 2 cups kaolin clay
- 1 cup Epsom salt
- 1 cup powdered herbs
- Several towels
Instructions
Pour 8 cups of water into a large pot.
Place the pot on a stove, and bring the water to a boil.
Take the pot off of the stove.
Add 2 cups kaolin clay and 1 cup Epsom salt to the water.
Add 1 cup powdered herbs of your choice to the water. Examples of herbs to use are basil, rose petal and rose hip.
Stir the ingredients together, and wait for it to cool a little so it is comfortable to the touch, but still very warm.
While the mixture is cooling, take a warm shower to help open your pores.
Take the pot over to a bathtub.
Get into the bathtub, and then start dipping towels into the mixture.
Cover your entire body in towels that are soaked with the mixture, and lie down with them on you for 30 to 60 minutes.
Remove the towels, and take a bath in water that is tepid in temperature.
