How to Brew Sutherlandia Medicinal Tea
Sutherlandia is a shrub native to the drier regions of South Africa. The plant traditionally has been used to treat a wide variety of ailments, especially inflammation and pain, infections and cancer. Although some research suggests Sutherlandia is well-tolerated by healthy adults, more research is needed to validate the medicinal uses of the herb.Things You'll Need
- 1/4 cup of fresh Sutherlandia leaves and flowers or 1 tbsp. of the dried herb
- 1 cup boiling water
- Strainer
Instructions
Pour boiling water over the fresh or dried herb. Steep for five minutes.
Strain the tea and drink it.
Drink two or three cups a day as an herbal supplement. Talk with your doctor if you are undergoing any treatment or taking prescribed medications to avoid harmful drug interactions.
