Metrorrhaphy: Understanding Uterine Incision Repair After Cesarean

Metrorrhaphy means stitching the uterine incision after a cesarean delivery when it is vertical on the anterior surface of the uterine body. This will close the incision in the uterus which allows it to heal. Metrorrhaphy can also happen as a part of cesarean hysterectomy and hysterotomy.
