Effective Home Remedies for Acne Scars: A Natural Guide
Acne scars can be embarrassing and unsightly, and are often difficult to treat. There are many expensive, chemically-based commercial remedies available, but you might have even better success treating your acne scars with some easy and inexpensive home remedies.Things You'll Need
- Fresh lemon (or lime) juice
- Cotton balls
- Sandalwood powder and rosewater
- Tomato
- Cold-pressed olive oil
- Lavender extract
- Cucumber
Instructions
Squeeze some fresh lemon or lime juice on a cotton ball and dab the juice on your acne scars. Let the juice remain on your skin for a minute or two, and rinse it off with cool water.
Mix a small amount of sandalwood powder with a few drops of rosewater, and stir it until it forms a paste. Apply the paste to the acne scars, and leave it at least 1 hour, although overnight is best. Rinse.
Slice a fresh tomato in half and rub it directly on your skin. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes, and rinse it with warm water.
Massage cold-pressed olive oil into the acne scars.
Dip a cotton ball into lavender extract and dab it on the affected areas at least three times a day.
Put a cucumber in a blender and blend it to a paste. Apply it to the skin and let it remain several minutes before rinsing.
