DIY Sore Throat Gargle: Simple Home Remedy with Baking Soda & Hydrogen Peroxide
The next time you have a sore throat or otherwise need to gargle try making your own gargle at home. The basic ingredients are baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and aspirin. The peroxide cleans the throat and kills bacteria while the aspirin soothes.Things You'll Need
- 1/4 tsp. of salt
- 1/4 tsp. of baking soda
- 1 tsp. hydrogen peroxide
- 4 oz. warm water
- 1 aspirin
- Small glass
- Pan
Instructions
Measure 4 oz. of water, pour it into a pan and heat until warm, not boiling. Once heated pour the water into a small glass.
Measure 1/4 tsp. each of baking soda and salt and pour into the small glass.
Measure 1 tsp. of hydrogen peroxide and pour it into the glass. Drop one aspirin into the glass. The combination of these ingredients will make the mixture fizzy.
Wait until the aspirin dissolves completely, then gargle as many times as you feel necessary or until your throat feels better.
