Horseradish for Chest Infections: Benefits, Uses & Recipes
Horseradish is mainly known as a strong seasoning used in food preparation and storage, as well as a Bloody Mary drink garnish. What might not be as well-known is the many health benefits of horseradish, including its use as a diuretic, antibiotic, immune system booster and much more. As an infusion, it works as a kidney stone treatment and has several uses as a poultice--including easing chest infections.Things You'll Need
- One to two horseradish roots
- Grater
- Raw honey
- Raw, organic apple cider vinegar
Instructions
Grate one to two horseradish roots over a small bowl.
Add 2 to 4 tsp. each of raw honey and apple cider vinegar.
Mix well and apply to the congested chest. Relax for about 10 minutes, then rinse poultice off.
Repeat as needed.
