Understanding Wu Yi Tea: Origin, Characteristics & Alternatives
Wu Yi Tea is a trademarked product marketed primarily for its slimming properties. While the names of most tea varieties, such as white, black or green teas, give some clue as to how the tea was produced, the Wu Yi name instead applies to where the tea was harvested: Mt. Wu Yi Shan in China. Mt. Wu Yi Shan is renowned for its production of fine oolong teas, so if you can't find the trademarked Wu Yi tea or aren't willing to pay exorbitant prices for it, you could also try the more commonly available oolong or wu long teas.
