What is salpingoscope?
A salpingoscope is a medical device used to visualize the inside of the fallopian tubes. It is a thin, flexible tube with a camera on the end that is inserted through the cervix and into the fallopian tubes. The camera provides a clear view of the inside of the tubes, which can help to identify any problems, such as blockages or abnormalities.
Salpingoscopy can be used for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. For diagnostic purposes, it can be used to identify the cause of infertility or other reproductive problems. For therapeutic purposes, it can be used to remove blockages or scar tissue from the fallopian tubes.
Salpingoscopy is a relatively simple and safe procedure that can be performed on an outpatient basis. It typically takes about 30 minutes to complete.
