What happens to the diaphragm when you inhale and exhale?
When you inhale, the diaphragm contracts and flattens, causing the thoracic cavity to expand and air to be drawn into the lungs. When you exhale, the diaphragm relaxes and returns to its dome-shaped position, allowing the thoracic cavity to recoil and air to be expelled from the lungs.Breathwork - Related Articles
