Paramedic Education Requirements: Years of Schooling & Training
It typically takes two to four years of postsecondary education to become a paramedic. There are two main levels of paramedic training: basic paramedic education (which requires two years of school) and advanced paramedic education (which requires an additional two years of school).
Some states may require additional education or continuing education courses.
