Micropore Tape for Scar Prevention: A Post-Surgery Guide
Although plastic surgery is desired for its ability to drastically transform the body, if the procedure is not followed up properly, the body may have permanent scars. To prevent this, micropore tape can be used as a measure to eliminate scarring.
Instructions
Follow your surgeon's directives for post-surgery treatment. Wait until the sutures are removed (about two weeks after surgery) before using the micropore tape.
Place micropore surgical tape over the wound.
Remove the tape prior to showering and keep the tape off during the shower.
Thoroughly dry the affected area.
Replace with new micropore tape.
Wear the tape for 24 hours (except when showering) daily. Continue for about 6 weeks to eliminate scarring.
