How to Measure for Patella Tendon Strap
Patella tendon straps are ideal to provide therapeutic support to your knee. The compression they provide allows for necessary circulation without restricting blood flow. These straps are also great for dealing with Osgood-Schlatter's disease. There are many different types of straps out there and they all offer different functions. Before buying a strap, ask your doctor which one will suit your needs best.Things You'll Need
- Measuring Roll
Instructions
Place the measuring roll directly underneath your knee. The 0-inch mark should be right below your knee in the middle of your leg.
Wrap the tape measure around the back of your leg and come back to the front.
Mark down what number is showing when you reach your starting point. This is how big your strap needs to be. Most straps measure between 10 and 18 inches.
