How long does it take for knee cartilage to heal?

Cartilage has poor blood supply, as such, it heals very slowly. Minor cartilage injuries can heal in as little as 6-8 weeks, but more serious injuries can take up to 12-18 months to fully heal. Unfortunately, some cartilage injuries may never fully heal.
