When can you expect your period after a miss carriage?

The timing of when a period returns after a miscarriage can vary from person to person. After a miscarriage, it is normal to have a period a few weeks after the pregnancy tissue has passed from the uterus. However, it can also take longer for a period to return, especially if the pregnancy was further along. On average, most women will have a period within 4 to 6 weeks after a miscarriage.
