The most common surgery on US for women is cesarean section (C-section). According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in 2019, there were 1,165,200 C-sections performed in the United States, accounting for 31.9% of all deliveries. This means that nearly one in three babies in the US is born via C-section.
