What is a 6 way bypass called?
Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), also known as bypass surgery or heart bypass, is a surgical procedure to improve blood flow to the heart when your coronary arteries (the major blood vessels that supply oxygen-rich blood to your heart) become blocked or narrowed due to a build-up of plaque (atherosclerosis).
During CABG surgery, healthy blood vessels from another part of your body (usually the chest, leg, or arm) are grafted (surgically attached) to your coronary arteries beyond the narrowed or blocked section.
