Wheel lifts are mechanical devices fixed to the back of pickup-size trucks used to lift the front or rear wheels of a car off the ground so it may be towed to another location. Vulcan, a Miller Industries company, is a manufacturer of these vehicles.-
Models

Vulcan wheel lifts are included in Vulcan's 800 series of towing and recovery units. These include the 804, 804 Modular, 805, 806, 806 Modular, 807, 810 Intruder, 880/890 and 896/897, among others.
Chains

The most dangerous part of operating a Vulcan wheel lift is the potential for the towed vehicle to become disconnected from the towing boom during transportation. Using safety chains, safety chain pockets and safety chain pocket guards provides extra assurance this will not happen. All Vulcan wheel lifts come with these components.
Lighting

All Vulcan series wheel lifts come equipped with lighting that meets the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108, which provides mandatory standards for all signaling devices, reflective devices and automotive lighting in the country.
