Power BI: Continue Working While Shared Reports Run – A Guide

When you run a shared report in Power BI, you can minimize the report window or switch to another application to keep working while the report runs in the background. The report will continue to run and return the results when it's finished.

Here's how you can keep working while a shared report runs in the background:

1. Open the shared report in Power BI Desktop or the Power BI service.

2. Click the "Run" button in the top-right corner of the report window.

3. The report will start running and you will see a progress bar at the bottom of the report window.

4. You can minimize the report window or switch to another application, and the report will continue to run in the background.

5. When the report is finished running, you will see a notification in your Windows taskbar or in the Power BI service.

6. You can then click the notification to open the report and see the results.
