How to Stop Smoking Before Sleeping
A substance called nicotine is what causes the addiction to cigarettes. In order to overcome the addiction, cigarette smokers must try to restrain from smoking. This can be a very difficult process since nicotine signals a part of your brain that makes a person crave to smoke. Since smoking is a routine for many, there are times when smoking a cigarette is a natural reaction. To stop smoking before sleeping, an individual must include other activities to replace the smoking habit.
Instructions
Drink at least eight glasses of water a day. Consuming water cleanses nicotine from the blood stream. If this procedure is difficult, try drinking water when craving a cigarette, instead of smoking.
Include an exercise regimen into your daily activities. Before going to bed at night, try stretching. Relieving tensions in the body is a great way to stop smoking before bed.
Brainstorm. Take the time out to evaluate what other factors may be causing the crave to smoke, such as the need to clear your mind or the need to relieve stress.
Create a list of reasons to quit smoking. Make sure you know exactly why you want to stop smoking before bed and remind yourself every night.
