Pit Latrine Cleaning Guide: Health & Hygiene

- Toilet cover
- Spray
- Plastic brush
- Soap or detergent powder
- Scrubbing brush
Instructions
Get your soap or detergent powder and mix them with water in a container or basin.
Wash your latrine using a plastic brush and dry it using a scrub brush.
Open it for about five minutes to get fresh air.
Spray the pit of your latrine in order to protect it from flies and cockroaches.
Get a cover and place it on the top of your latrine.
Finally close your latrine using a medium size padlock to avoid the strangers who can make it dirty.
