How to Use Handicap Urinals
Performing simple tasks can be difficult when you're handicap. Using the bathroom is one such task. If you're a man and need to use the restroom but don't want to sit on a toilet, you may want to use an urinal that can assist you in standing. This is called a handicap urinal.
Instructions
Approach the handicap urinal. It has a handle bar system circulating around the entire device. Often times the urinal is next to a wall so there's room for you to place a cane or walker off to the side.
Take hold of the handle bar while you unzip or unbutton your pants. If you use a wheelchair you may want to do this before you reach the urinal.
Urinate. With the handicap urinal's design you don't need to aim. The urinal is tall, with its bottom extending outwards further than a typical urinal to catch any splashback. This allows you to hold onto the handle bars while urinating.
Zip or button your pants back up. Use the handicap urinal's bars for support if needed.
Walk away from the handicap urinal. Most have an automatic flush feature. However, if the urinal isn't automatic make sure to flush before leaving the bathroom.
