Effective Boric Acid Roach Bait: A Safe & DIY Solution
Roaches can find a way into your home by any means. Small cracks, sewer and drain pipes, and vents are just a few ways roaches can infest your home. Eliminating roaches is necessary, as these insects can cause allergies and asthma in sensitive people. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, roach droppings may cause asthma attacks. Even dead skin and dead roaches can trigger allergies. The use of boric acid to bait roaches is safer than harsh chemicals and effective.Things You'll Need
- 1/2 cup boric acid
- 1/2 cup flour
- Glass bowl
- Metal spoon
- 2 tablespoon peanut butter
- Sugar
- Shortening
Instructions
Combine the boric acid and flour in a glass bowl. Spoon in your peanut butter.
Mix your ingredients until you develop a doughy ball. Spoon out a tablespoon of the mixture into your hand.
Roll the mixture into a ball. Continue the process until your entire batch is used up.
Place the roach baits in areas visited by roaches. Under your kitchen sink, bathroom sink and behind your refrigerator are areas to pay close attention to.
Make as many roach balls as necessary to rid your home of roaches.
