DIY Emergency Sunglasses with Duct Tape: A Practical Guide
Duct tape will hold practically anything, and it's nearly an indispensable item in most households. But it also has uses you've probably never imagined. For instance, you can use the tape to make a pair of sunglasses in a pinch.Things You'll Need
- Duct tape
- Scissors or knife
- String
- Hole Punch
Instructions
Pull off a piece of duct tape 12-inches long. Lay the tape flat and fold it in half lengthwise so that the sticky sides join together. Make sure none of the stickiness is exposed.
Fold the duct tape in half again and open. Hold the duct tape up to your face, lining your nose up with the center fold. Make marks where your eyes will be.
Cut two eye holes in the tape where you made the marks. These holes should not be more than slits, since you want just enough space to see without letting much sun get through.
Use a hole puncher to make holes on the ends of the duct tape. You can tie the emergency duct tape glasses to your head with a piece of string.
