The constrictor knot is one of the tightest knots one can learn. This knot is so tight, in fact, that in most cases it is meant to be cut away rather than loosened or untied. - Stationary object
Instructions
Begin the knot. While holding on to one end of the rope, feed the other end under the stationary object and grab with the open hand.
Make loop one. Place the rope from your left hand into your right hand and grasp. Place the rope from your right hand into your left hand and grasp.
Feed under the object. The rope in the right hand can now be fed under the stationary object toward the side of the left hand. Feed the rope over the rope in the left hand.
Complete the knot. While still holding the rope in the right hand, feed the rope back toward the right by placing it under all contact surfaces between the rope and the stationary object.
Tighten. The constrictor not is easy to tighten and difficult to remove. Be very careful when tighten on any object that may be damaged by the knot.
