Essential First Aid Rules: A Quick Guide to Immediate Care
The four rules of first aid are:
1. Check the scene for safety. Make sure the area is safe for you and the victim before you begin first aid.
2. Check the victim for responsiveness. If the victim is not breathing, start CPR.
3. Control the bleeding. If the victim is bleeding, stop the bleeding by applying direct pressure to the wound.
4. Immobilize the injured area. If the victim has a broken bone or other injury, immobilize the area to prevent further damage.
