Precise Liquid Extraction from Vials: A Step-by-Step Guide
Vials are small capped bottles that hold liquid. If the liquid is already mixed, you can remove it from the vial with the syringe you are using. Always wash your hands when doing this, and use gloves so that you don't contaminate the liquid before you put it in your body or into an experiment. Use the proper method to extract even the last cc from the vial.
Instructions
Hold the vial at an angle, so that the last cc pools in one corner or edge of the vial. Knock the vial gently against a counter to help push the liquid into the corner, if it does not do so readily. Sometimes the liquid will form a pressure seal that will keep it on the bottom of the vial.
Dip the syringe into the vial and slowly pull out the plunger. This will suck up the last CC of the vial.
Press the plunger to push the liquid out of the syringe.
