Alcohol-Related Fatalities: 21-24 Age Group Highest Risk in 2008

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the age group with the highest rate of alcohol-related fatalities per 10,000 drivers in 2008 was the 21-24 age group. This age group had a rate of 3.28 alcohol-related fatalities per 10,000 drivers, which was more than double the rate of the next highest age group (25-34), which had a rate of 1.55 alcohol-related fatalities per 10,000 drivers.
